Dear Minister Mahuta, New Zealand has a proud history of expressing concern about antisemitism and the anti-Israel sentiment that characterises the 'Durban conferences'. While it is astounding that you have not yet received advice about this from MFAT officials and so been unable to make a decision, I urge you to continue that history and join our traditional allies in clearly stating that Aotearoa New Zealand will not attend the ‘Durban IV' conference scheduled to be held in September, and opposes the racism that the process has come to represent.
